The Adlai Ewing Stevenson II Political Cartoon Collection is one of several collections of Stevenson family papers, photographs and memorabilia at the Dr. JoAnn Rayfield Archives at Illinois State University. The cartoons depict the political life of Adlai Ewing Stevenson II, the son of Lewis Green Stevenson and grandson of Adlai Ewing Stevenson I. Adlai Ewing Stevenson II served as Illinois Governor (1949-1953), ran two campaigns for United States President (1952; 1956), and served as United States Ambassador to the United Nations (1961-1965).
