Collection Historical Note

The Department of Business Administration began as one of the original three departments of the College of Business in 1967. In 1975, the Master of Business Administration and the Master of Business in Accounting were created to replace the Master of Science in Business Administration. The department was disbanded in 1976 when the Department of Finance, Insurance and Law and the Department of Management and Marketing were created. Today, the Master of Business Administration is completed by taking courses from the Department of Accounting, the Department of Finance, Insurance, and Law, the Department of Management and Quantitative Methods, and the Department of Marketing. The mission of the Master of Business Administration is to prepare students to be leaders in the business world.
